Anytime is a good time to think of volunteering at Syracuse NY or nearby.
Having worked as secretary/steno/typist in the past, retirement gave me opportunity to "jump" into the art area. In retrospect, was in it along with working a "day job" as I did enter "ON MY OWN TIME" at employer and won in the "drawing" category. "I've been painting since I can remember...." "Art is my passion...." "Being creative is something I have to do...." Blah, Blah, Blah....How many times have we (as artists) started out our bio's like that? I'm guilty myself! And although true on every account, it gets to be redundent, doesn't it! Tian Tan Buddha - This is a photo I took while visiting my sister in Hong Kong. It is claimed to be the largest outdoor seated bronze Buddha in the world. Seeing it up close and in person was a magnificent experience. It was breathtaking to see something considered so sacred, and the reverence paid it awe inspiring.
