Art Available - Gallery 1

Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

About Me

I am most intrigued by and drawn to those artistic styles that span the continuum from impressionism, expressionism to abstract art. To me, this is art that is not bound to reproduce life's visual experience, but rather, this is art that is free to represent life's visual experience with greater importance placed on mood, movement and composition than on accurate representation. As an artist I can say that working in an expressionist fashion is much more engaging and fulfilling than pure rendering. I believe it elicits greater involvement by the viewer as well.I am currently working in pastel on paper, acrylic on canvas and on board and digital photography. Please enjoy the sampling of work I have posted. Originals are available and most works are available as limited edition signed and numbered giclee prints.

Everson 60/60

On Friday, June 17 I had the pleasure of participating in the Everson Museum's third annual 60/60 event.  All art created during the even was donated to a raffle to benefit the museum.  The effort to mobilize and perform in public was well worth it!  I thoroughly enjoy interacting with our patrons. I hope to be back again next year!

I was inspired by the devastating tsunami in March that destroyed much of Japan's eastern coast.  Though my sympathy goes out to all of Japan for…
