Art Available - Gallery 1

Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

Dream Horse by M. Smart

How could I forget to tell you all of my recent achievement! I tied for third place best in show over 80 plus other fine artists and craftsman last weekend! It was a thrill for me as the show was jurried and the level of talent was amazing. There  were metal workers, ceramists, wood workers, both carving and turning, oil paintings, fiber, watercolors, and more. I was especially taken with the man who I tied third place with. He hand carved wood, which he then transferred to paper for prints. The Keuka Art Festival has a website where pictures are to be posted, so stay tuned. I can't wait.

The funny thing is I should have listened to my friend Monica Pitman of Marcellus who made the suggestion that I glue a false nail to my tooth. For those of you who don't know me, I have had problems too expensive to repair from a botch job on  teeth caps. So a front cap is broken off. It is very attractive and matches the wart on my face, but really who knew the finger nail would work in a pinch! I wish I had taken the time to experiment with this little procedure before I had my award winning debut in the pictures. At least I have become wiser before my video debut soon to be released on the internet. And to be produced by none other than our own Deborah  Curriere. Her work is outstanding and I am blessed to have met her. Stay tuned for future adventures in the never dull life of an AWARD winning artist.
