I noticed that even though there is some basic information on each of our pages on CNYArtist.com, there still is some info I like sharing with people. Some about my art, some about me. So here it is.

I live (currently) in Syracuse (this might change to Cicero shortly), but I'm not from Syracuse. I grew up on the west coast. I've been drawing since I was little and the only art classes I've had were the few in preschool, middle school, and high school. I inherited my artistic talent from my dad is what everyone says (including me most of the time), but the truth is dad just was the one who inspired me to draw.

Until I moved to Syracuse my art had always played second fiddle to all the other stuff going on in my life. After moving to Syracuse and meeting a few people here I started drawing more. Then one day something just clicked. I was looking at the drawing of an artists I admire, and I realized what my drawings needed. Since then my skills have grown in leaps and bounds. Now I have my own website and booths at crafting events in CNY. One day... well who know.

The last thing I should tell people (and remind them) is I have no formal training or art history knowledge. I know about many of the great artists, but can identify only a few. I draw because I love to draw, and I draw what interests me and what I like. Weather it's a celebrity, animal, home, or person, what you see is it. There may be a small story to go with some of the drawings, but I'm not one for hidden meanings. There are some abstract arts I like, but I'd say I'm a realist and like those types of art the most.
