A Place for Creativity & Creative People In CNY
Maria Janina Rizzo created a body of work of 12 pieces that talk about our human condition through the use of a tree as a symbol. The tree has three main parts: the roots, the trunk and the branches. The roots can be seen as our past, our childhood, and the experiences which help form the person that we are now. http://cnyartists.com/profile/MariaJRizzo?xg_source=profiles_memberL
Marc Pittarelli I am most intrigued by anddrawn to those artistic styles thatspan the continuum fromimpressionism, expressionism to abstractart. To me, this is artthat is not bound to reproduce life'svisual experience, but rather, thisis art that is free to represent life's visual experience withgreater importance placed on mood, movement and composition than onaccurate representation. As an artist, I can say that working in anexpressionist fashion ismuch more engaging and fulfilling than purerendering. I believe itelicits greater involvement by the viewer aswell. I am currentlyworking in pastel on paper, acrylic on canvasand on board and digital photography. Please enjoy the sampling ofwork I haveposted. Originals are available and most works areavailable aslimited edition signed and numbered giclee. Izzy Dugger My paintings started out mystical in an ethereal sense, exploring netherworlds between here and the hereafter. I have since begun painting glimpses of fairytales, both innocent and dark in nature. They are usually nonspecific, loose interpretations, meant only to provoke interest and thought, not to convey specific scenes. I enjoy creating images of figures from my imagination and making them come to life for others."
