hi all; just updating the page and checking the message board out  for my first  I've been a muralist, so I did plenty of outdoor painting, sometimes with some questionable entrepreneurial pharmacists at work a few feet behind me on the corner. I like Golden acrylics the best; great colors and not likely to be stolen, or attract unnecessary attention. Haven't done much outdoor with oils, which I mostly paint with now; and recommendations on drying mediums?

Feng, I have both a French easel and a 1/2 box french easel. I use the half box for local plein aire trips. I use the full box french easel for trips around the State and country. I even bought a large beach umbrella that screws into the ground for those hot days at sunny areas. I have a set of small Paint tubes for my 1/2 size french easel setup, since space is limited, and some screw lid pallet cups for my mediums and solvent. I keep an extra bottle of solvent in my car. I always bring my camera so I can touch-up my paintings later at home.

Yu-Ting the trip I did was offered by the Art Store; Sharon does one every year. It's a great opportunity to learn some new tricks, try some new mediums (Sharon brings all kinds of goodies for us to try) and meet other artists. I enjoyed it very much! I checked out the website you suggested. It looks like there is a lot to do, I'll have some time in August to do something with the group. Thanks for the tip.

It looks like I have to  try the Open acrylics some day.  Sounds very interesting.  I also have a homemade cigar pochade box that my husband helped build for me.  But I'm looking for a bigger setup now - either a halfbox french easel or a Guerrilla Painter French Resistant Pochade.  Anyone got experience with any of these?  Or suggest other setups?
