Art Available - Gallery 1

Hope by Ron Warford, 40' x 30 " Graphite on Black Board, Framed
Mr. Warford's work was selected by the Smithsonian Institution for a national traveling exhibition in 1973. He was one of the initial founding and teaching members at the Folk Art Gallery in Syracuse. His work spings from his imagination and is masterfully executed. Tel (315) 391-5115 for more info or to purchase. One of the presidents of a local art guild referred to Ron's work as  "master works" for their power and quality.

Strength , by Ron Warford. 20 " X 30"

Home is Where the Hearth Is by Jaws. This piece took 600 hours. Amazingly, to produce this the artist had to put the snowflakes  in first on a white fine piece of paper and then build everything around it. Think about it - this amazing work, and other pieces of the artists work can be seen at CNY Artists Gallery, which purchased this piece in 2013.

Dream Horse by M. Smart

If you are an Artist or Creator, why do you create the things that you create?

Why do you feel compelled to make things ?  Does it fill something within your soul?

I know I create because if I did not, my life would feel only half lived.  I have been creating in many areas, including window display, trade show design, non-fiction writing, conceptual development of business concepts, creation of advertising, and social media. I believe that the next challenge is to help others and myself find ways to more often be paid for their creations so that they can devote more time to doing what they love (making actual creations) and free them from any drudgery type mundane jobs they may trapped in.

Creating is a true joy.  I create because I enjoy the process.  It is entertaining to me.  I feel like I am tapping into my subconscious in my own work.  New ideas come during the creation of others and by working in series I am able to assemble images repeatedly and try new things with abandon until I feel I have figured out the relationships or the puzzle.

Most of the time, I like selling my work.  I like that people value it enough to buy it.  I believe the print market is a great way for artists  to make money on their work.  It makes the work accessible to so many more people.$5-$50 is a very agreeable range for a lot more people than $1000-$10000.  Artists can hang on to originals and still make money on a minimal investment.  This site provides opportunities and avenues for people to connect.

Life is to short for drudgery.

My answer to this question is very simple - I think Robert Maplethorpe ( 1946-1989 )said it best.

"If a day goes by without my doing something related to photography, it is though I have neglected something essential to my existense, as though I have forgotten to wake up."
